I design interfaces for products where clarity isn't aesthetic – it's functional.

I'm Petr, a product designer based in Czechia. For the past decade I've worked on interfaces where the stakes are real – platforms handling money, customer data, and decisions that people make every morning. B2B software mostly: the kind that doesn't get posted on Dribbble because it has to actually work.

My background started in front-end development, which means I've always been closer to implementation than most designers are comfortable with. I like the constraint. Knowing what something costs to build changes how you design it – you stop decorating and start solving.

In 2021 I published a medieval novel – the first part of a series I've been writing for over a decade. Five characters, one autumn, a lot of bad decisions. Writing and designing feel related to me: both are about getting someone through a complex system without losing them along the way.

Right now I'm working with Meiro, Akcenta, and Kodu on problems I find genuinely hard. I'm open to new work – embedded design, product UX, brand systems, or anything with enough complexity to be worth doing properly.

Lately, game UI has been pulling at me. I spent the week after the Witcher IV trailer building an interface concept that reached 260k views on Reddit – and I'd happily do more of that.
